What is DBT?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidenced-based approach that teaches practical skills for navigating emotions, relationships, stress, and everyday challenges. Rather than focusing only on insight, DBT teaches concrete tools you can use in real life.

Is DBT right for me?

DBT teaches life skills that are applicable to all people. It can be especially helpful if you struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, intense emotions, relationship stress, difficulty setting boundaries, impulsive reactions, burnout, or trouble shutting your brain off. It can also be helpful if you are functioning well and want better tools for handling pressure and creating more balance.

What to expect

DBT Skills group is structured, practical, and interactive. It is more like a class than a traditional therapy group. Each week, you'll learn a new skill, discuss how it applies to real-life situations, and practice using it between sessions. The goal is to leave with strategies you can actually use when you need them the most.
